Leave a gift in your Will

and help us save a Life

Why leave a Gift in your Will?

When you leave a gift in your Will, also known as a bequest, you can help ensure that people experiencing suicidal thoughts and serious mental health distress continue to have access to free professional counselling.

After providing for the people you love, a gift in your Will allows the values and compassion that mattered to you during your life to continue through the legacy you leave behind.

Your gift can help future generations access support when they need it most and contribute to preventing suicide.

Your Legacy - Your Impact

Your legacy can help keep free counselling, suicide-prevention support and mental health education available for future generations. A gift to Sunlight Centre is a practical way to extend the impact of your life beyond your lifetime and help others receive support when they need it most.

The Sunlight Centre Services

Your support will help us provide life changing services to our community and beyond

Free Counselling

The Sunlight Centre’s main services are free face-to-face counselling for Teenagers and Adults who are in suicidal distress, and / or self-harm behaviour.

Clients self-refer, they don’t need a mental health plan nor any professional referral, they just need to reach out.

Family Support

Families and Friends of our clients can also engage with support with one of our accredited and experienced Counsellors as we know they are around their loved ones the most.

Free Mental Health Workshops

The Sunlight Centre develops and delivers free community mental health workshops such as: ‘Make 3-Hours Matter’, ‘Conflict to Connect’ and ‘Anxiety in our Youth’.

Psycho-education can give people practical tools and skills to build their emotiona regulation acting as a preventable measure against Australia’s high suicide rates.

Could you benefit from EveryWill?

Through Sunlight Centre’s EveryWill link, supporters can access a free online Will service and complete their Will online. During the process, they can choose whether they would like to include a gift to Sunlight Centre in their Will, but there is no obligation to do so. The EveryWill campaign guidance specifically recommends reassuring supporters that they can use the service to write their Will regardless of whether they decide to leave a charitable gift.

Many Australians still don’t have a Will
More than 60% of Australians are reported not to have a Will. Creating one helps ensure your wishes are known and that the people and causes important to you are considered. EveryWill provides a free online way to take that important step.
